I do enjoy how handy this cart is in my kitchen, but it is not as good as expected. There is a lot of storage in the cart, but the top drawer does not open and close smoothly. The cabinet doors below do not meet cleanly as shown in the site photo. There is a space, as others have noted. The wheels aren't great, and it is not that easy to move once you put your supplies inside it. We can't use the drop leaf because one of the springs is damaged and falls off the hinge. We requested a replacement part four weeks ago and have not received it. I don't think this cart will last very long, and I wish I had spent a little more money on a better piece of furniture. I bought this design specifically for the drop-leaf and I can't use it because of the damaged spring. I may never get to use it. It has been frustrating dealing with customer service.
UPDATE: I did receive a replacement cart, which features some good design improvements. The drop leaf piece now has a trigger mechanism underneath which makes it easy to put the drop leaf down. So, the cart I have now is very functional. With this major improvement and a few others, this cart is a decent value for the money. It was also much easier to assemble, thanks to improved instructions and part labeling. It took only two hours to put together as opposed to nearly four maddening hours with the first cart.
